  • Gynaecologist
    MBChB, MRCOG, FRANZCOG, BSc(Hons)

    Elaine graduated from the University of Glasgow in 1999 and after two years as a junior doctor she commenced the Obstetric & Gynaecology training programme in 2001. During the advanced stages of this programme, Elaine developed specialised surgical skills in both laparoscopic and hysteroscopic procedures. In 2015, Elaine and her family moved to Hawke’s Bay where she took up a position as a Consultant Obstetrician/Gynaecologist at Hastings Hospital until 2023. Elaine has a special interest and considerable expertise in numerous aspects of gynaecological practice and the scope of her professional experience is such that she is able to address gynaecological concerns for women (in addition to children and adolescents) of all ages. Elaine offers assessment, advice and treatment for problems with periods, endometriosis, menopause, abnormal smears, vulval concerns and genital prolapse. Splitting her time between Hawke's Bay and Wellington, Elaine also serves as a Senior Medical Officer in the Gynaecology Cancer Centre Team in Wellington Regional Hospital.

    Ella studied Medicine at the University of Cardiff in Wales where she also achieved an intercalated BSc(Hons) in Exercise Physiology, including multiple Masters modules. Upon graduation, Ella worked in several training posts across Wales before moving to New Zealand. After having her eldest son, Ella decided to work as a GP for more flexibility, aiming for a better work-life balance. She has gained further experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and completed the Postgraduate Certificate in O&G. Within her GP practice she has found women’s health to be an area she enjoys and has seen a large volume of patients with increasing demand from women to see a female doctor for their health issues, especially for long-acting contraceptive procedures. Ella has a warm and friendly manner, while being thorough and knowledgeable, which makes her popular with patients. Ella also has postgraduate qualifications in Paediatrics and Skin Cancer Medicine. Ella is excited to be part of the team at All Women and wishes to enable every woman in Hawke’s Bay to have the opportunity to see a female GP about their health concerns. She can also offer general consults to women who are awaiting enrolment with a GP or those who are unable to enrol with a practice in Hawke’s Bay, whether due to visa status or temporary work in the region.

  • Women's Health and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist

    Deirdre (Dee) is a Women’s Health and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist who graduated with first class honours from The Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2013 with a BSc in Physiotherapy, and further sought qualifications in dry needling and Pilates. Keen to broaden her horizons, she moved to Sydney in 2015 to gain further experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and sought formal training in the area of Women’s Health. Having spent seven years practicing in Sydney, Dee and her family moved to Hawke's Bay at the end of 2022. Dee believes that Women’s Health Physiotherapy can have an incredible and positive impact on the quality of life for women across all life stages. She has a deep understanding of pelvic mechanics and their relationship to core stability and function. Dee can provide physiotherapy management of pelvic floor issues, incontinence, pelvic pain, bladder problems and assist with pelvic floor changes in menopause and pre/postnatal care. She has a special interest in returning postpartum women to exercise. Dee is an experienced Pilates instructor to all levels. Dee finds genuine pleasure in helping her patients achieve and exceed their goals.

    Gynaecologist
    MBChB, DipObMG, FRANZCOG, DDU

    Kirsten is a consultant Obstetrician Gynaecologist with a Medical Degree and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Obstetrics and Medical Gynaecology from the University of Otago. She completed her specialist training, earning her FRANZCOG Fellowship. Kirsten holds an additional Fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine, along with a Diploma in Diagnostic Ultrasound from Brisbane’s Mater Mothers' Hospital, which are unique qualifications in our region. Since returning to Hawke's Bay in 2015, Kirsten has been providing comprehensive obstetric and gynaecological care through the DHB. She has a special interest in complex obstetrics, preconception counselling, fertility assessment and the management of heavy periods. Kirsten also offers professional care and services for general gynaecological problems. In partnership with colleague Dr Elaine White, Kirsten co-founded All Women with Dr Elaine White in 2019, aiming to enhance and strengthen the availability and quality of women’s healthcare in Hawke’s Bay.

    Gynaecologist


    Lalitha is a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist who graduated from the University of Bristol, UK with a Biochemistry degree and the University of Warwick, UK with her Medical degree in 2009. After two years of general training, she embarked on Obstetrics & Gynaecology Specialty training in the UK. She took a year out of her training to gain experience abroad, here in the Hawke's Bay in 2014, before returning to her UK training. In 2017, she made the decision to return to New Zealand permanently with her young family and completed her training here. She has worked in Counties Manukau, Auckland, Taranaki and Hamilton, before settling in Hawke's Bay. She is a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist at Hastings Hospital. She also provides multi-disciplinary simulation training for Obstetric emergencies via PROMPT courses and has established and runs the Benign Gynaecology Multi-disciplinary Meetings where complex Gynaecology cases are reviewed. She is a Supervisor for junior doctors coming through training and sits on an Obstetrics Guideline review panel at Hastings Memorial Hospital. During her own advanced training, Lalitha has developed interest in Laparoscopic surgery, Hysteroscopy and Colposcopy and provides care for menstrual dysfunction, pelvic pain and endometriosis, abnormal smears, menopause and many other Gynaecology conditions. She is passionate about Women’s Health and provides a holistic approach to her care of patients.
